The market of life cycle funds in Poland is still in the initial stage of development. However, it may accelerate in the near future. These products may become a pillar of PPK, which will be obligatory for the majority of employers. We will try to answer the question whether the life cycle funds are successful in other pension systems and if they are able to compete with traditional investment funds. We will try to find out what goals their clients can achieve and what are the advantages of investing in these products.

Marcin Bednarek has been associated with the investment fund market since 2004. He started his professional career at Bank BPH almost 25 years ago, where he was involved in the privatization process and then in investor relations. He was also responsible for the PR and marketing activities of this institution. After the merger of BPH and PBK banks, in 2004 he carried out a comprehensive rebranding project. From 2004, he worked for BPH TFI, where he was the director of the Marketing and PR Department. In 2007, he was appointed the vice president of the Management Board of BPH TFI and took over the area of the company's products, sales and marketing. He held this function for over 10 years.
Marcin Bednarek holds a degree in Economics obtained at the University of Economics in Cracow and the Professional Diploma in Marketing of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in Great Britain. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program organised by IESE Business School.

In 2007 he was promoted to senior portfolio manager at Allianz Asset Management (Slovakia), where he managed the portfolios. He joined ING Group in 2008 at ING Investment Management in the Czech Republic as chief investment officer, responsible for portfolio management for institutional clients. He also held the position of CEO at ING Investment Management in the Czech Republic. From October 2012 until December 2014 he was a Member of the Management Board of ING IM in Poland. Ewa Małyszko is the CEO of PFR TFI S.A, belonging to Polish Development Fund’s Group, since February 2017. She is an economist and graduate of Postgraduate Studies in Pension Fund Management and Postgraduate Studies in Quantitative Methods in the Financial Markets Analisys at the Warsaw School of Economics. She has also completed the prestigious Program for the Executive Development for senior management at the IMD Institute in Lausanne and the organization management program at the Wallenberg Institute in Sweden.
She has many years of experience in creating and managing financial institutions. From December 2011 to February 2017 she was the CEO of PKO BP BANKOWY PTE S.A. Previously, the vice-president of the board of management responsible for operating activities and finance at KGHM TFI S.A. She started gaining the professional experience in Bank Pekao S.A. in the area of private and corporate banking. She has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. She started her professional career in 1995 in Citibank (Poland) S.A., where she was Corporate Customer Manager. From 2002 to 2006 she worked for Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A., where she was responsible for sales in the retail customers segment and for the service of corporate clients.
Since 2006 Monika Szlosek has been working for Deutsche Bank Polska S.A. - initially as the Director of the Retail Banking Department, where she was responsible for individual and business clients service, direct marketing, development of electronic channels and e-commerce offer. Currently she is the Managing Director of Retail and Investment Banking Area and is responsible for the development of investment and savings products and daily banking products for individual and business clients. Between 1998 and 2000 he was a director of Treasury Bureau in TUiR WARTA and was dealing with asset management. He is a cofounder of Warta TFI. From 2002 to 2008 he worked in the position of vice-president of the management board of PTE Skarbiec Emerytura, where he was responsible for managing debt portfolio of OFE Skarbiec-Emerytura and supervising the overall investment process. Piotr Żochowski graduated from the Department of Electronics and Information Technologies of the Warsaw University of Technology. He also completed the Executive MBA programme organized by the Warsaw University of Technology in cooperation with the London Business School, HEC School of Management Paris and NHH Bergen. He is a CFA charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst) and the Fellow of ACCA title.
Since 1996 he has been professionally involved in the Polish financial market. He started his career at Arthur Andersen Audit sp. z o.o., where he participated in audits and due diligence reviews of companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and foreign companies from various industries. He also has experience in the field of financial institutions management. Between 1999 and2010 he worked in the Pioneer Pekao Investment Management Group - in the position of chief financial officer and as vice-president of the Management Board at Pioneer Pekao Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych S.A. He was also responsible, among other things, for the development of Pioneer Global Asset Management in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of NETIA S.A. and a member of the Supervisory Board of Platforma Mediowa Point Group S.A. From 1 June 2011 to 20 December 2012 he was a vice-president of the Management Board of PKO TFI. Since 20 December 2012, he has acted as CEO of PKO TFI.
